View a checklist of required documents (PDF) to obtain a REAL ID. If your driver license is valid and unexpired, it will remain valid for driving purposes until the expiration date. If your ID is not REAL ID compliant, you must visit a Tax Collector’s office in person to obtain a REAL ID. Not sure if your ID is REAL ID compliant? If you have a gold star on your driver license or identification card, you’re good to go. (*NOTE: REAL ID compliance from other states is not transferrable to Florida.)
